Now housing licensed makeup artist and other estheticians, DeCorya envisions that her business will, "serve residents all over deep East Texas and will continue to grow large enough to service a woman empowerment center", she says.

Meet Chad: Chad Roberts Horsemanship

Life in the country means peace and quiet for most but, for Chad, it means peace and new opportunities. Growing up in Nigton Texas, Chad learned early on how to thrive in his element. Learning to train horses at just the tender age of 15, Chad built what is now known as Chad Roberts Horsemanship . With over 10 years of experience in training 1200 lb thoroughbreds, he has learned the gentle side of parenting horses from all over the world. So much so that Bird-Dog, Chad's breeding stallion, “has manners to teach riders as young as 7 years old lessons”, he said. Chad knew that in the midst of enjoying the scenery and calmness of nature, there were things about the country that he wanted others to witness, so he began inviting the public to his ranch for an opportunity to learn hands on just what he is passionate about.

Chad trains an 11 month old crossbred philly.

Growing up in East Texas, where horses can be seen on the side of every major highway leaving town, Chad knew there was a vacancy that needed to be addressed. Teaching others how to care for horses became the priority that sparked a dream that would take years to perfect. Self -taught by trial and error, intimate research, conversations with seasoned breeders in the horse world, observation, trusting his gut, and always being willing to learn, is what afforded Chad a unique opportunity to do what he loves for a living.
